The challenge of combating illicit financial flows and commercial corruption will be the theme of the seventh annual research workshop in the current series jointly organised by the Association for accountancy & Business Affairs and the Tax Justice Network. On this occasion the workshop will be hosted by the Instituto de Investigaciones Económicas of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) and will take place between the 21st and the 24th September 2009. During the seminar simultaneous translation will be provided from English to Spanish, and from Spanish to English.
The organising committee invites interested presenters to prepare a 500 word abstract in by the deadline of 30th June. Offers of papers will be accepted both in English and Spanish within the broad theme of The Erosion of Public Finances in Developing Countries: offshore secrecy, accounting practices and illicit financial flows.
