World Bank published the report From Global Collapse to Recovery. Economic Adjustment and Growth Prospects in Latin America and Caribbean (LAC) . This report analyzes where the LAC region stands following the global crisis, its growth prospects and main challenges. Prospects for LAC in the short-term thus look good, regional economic activity is forecast to expand by a solid 4 percent in 2010. Countercyclical policies have supported domestic demand in the larger LAC countries and external demand from fast-growing EMs, especially China, has boosted exports and terms of trade for LAC’s net commodity exporters. see: www.worldbank.org/laceconomist
