New Dataset Educational (Barro and Lee)

A new data set of educational attainment in the world, 1950-2010 by Robert J. Barro and Jong-Wha Lee, published by NBER. The data set on educational attainment applies to 146 countries at five-year intervals from 1950 to 2010. They use the new schooling data to investigate the relationship between education and income. They confirm that the schooling of workers has a significantly positive effect on the level of income at the country level. see: www.nber.org/papers/w15902
