Health care, development and fiscal policy in Brazil by Pedro Jucá Maciel. In his apresentation Pedro, spoke about the importante of health for development. Healthier individuals are more able to productively use educationat any point in life. In 2006, Brazil spent 7.5% of GDP in health care. This number is close to the average of OECD countries and higher than Latin American countries which spend 7% of GDP.
